Order/Cancellation Policy
Orders are processed within an hour of being placed through the website. Please be aware that there are situations where items are ordered from manufacturers or distributors. Once an item has been processed and shipped from the manufacturer or distributor there is no way to stop it. A cancellation at this point will be subject to the return policy.

 

Battery/Core Charge
Due to shipping regulations, batteries are shipped without acid.
A core charge may be applied to engine assemblies, crankshafts, or cylinders. These charges can range from $75-$1000 per unit. Core charges are fully refundable based on the quality of the returned item. If the core charge is not paid, the re-manufactured part from the order will be cancelled. Customer is responsible for returning old core.

 

Refund and Return Policy
No returns on electrical parts, decals, marks, or emblems
No returns on items under $6
Returns must be processed within 15 days of delivery confirmation and received within 30 days of confirmed delivery
All other returns are subject to a 35% restock fee
All returns must be in original packaging
Customer is responsible for return shipping expenses, we can provide a return label at customers expense if required
All returns must have a return authorization #, this includes warranty returns

 

All items must be returned in new/“unused” condition.  Returns of damaged or used items will not be accepted and will be returned to Customer at Customer’s expense. 

 

Backorders
If your item is not stock, we will backorder it for you. You will be notified via email in 1-2 business days if any of your items are back ordered. You will have the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. Note that backordered parts are backordered nationally, not just for us and are fulfilled on a first come first served basis by the manufacturers.

 

Price Adjustment Policy
Occasionally there may be errors in the catalog and or pricing. In the event of a pricing increase we will contact you prior to processing your order.
While we do our best to make sure our shipping calculations are correct using the manufacturers dimension and weights along with your location, there are occasionally oversized items that may require additional shipping charges. You will be notified via email if your order requires and additional shipping.

 

Shipping and Handling
All orders are shipped within 3-5 business days, based on item availability.
Standard shipping is USPS Priority Mail and UPS Ground. We do offer more expedited shipping if requested at an additional charge, this is expedited from us to you and does not shorten the handling time for the order.

 

International Orders
International orders will be accepted and shipped. However, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders that are shipped to countries outside the U.S. may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees, which are levied once shipment reaches your country. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, you should contact your local customs office for further information. Customs procedures may cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates. All orders abandoned or refused for delivery forfeit refund.

 

Tax Charges
For all orders made within the United States, tax will be collected for all orders placed for NJ customers

 

Superseded Parts
At times the manufacturers will supersede parts numbers. Superseded part numbers are part numbers have changed to a new part number. This change can mean exclusion of requirement of additional parts for full replacement. There are times when colors will be substituted as well. If there is a pricing change due to supersession or manufacturer substitution, we will contact you to confirm the pricing difference.

 

Damaged, Missing, or Defective Merchandise
Any claim regarding missing or shipping damaged items must be made within 10 days of receipt of order. Please save all original packaging and related material for inspection. It may also be helpful to supply a digital photo of any damaged items when submitted your damage claim.

 

Any defective items are covered under warranty by the manufacturer and not by Powersports Parts Barn. Warranty claims are subject to approval by the manufacturer. Please be aware we do not determine whether a part is covered under warranty, only the manufacturer of the part your ordered can approve warranty replacement.

 

Freight
Please inspect any freight shipment for damage prior to signing. If there is any noticeable damage to any packaging, please inspect the part for damage as well.
In the event that your part(s) are damaged, it is important that you refuse the delivery and contact us immediately. If you sign for receipt of the shipment, you are agreeing that it was delivered in good condition, and we would be unable to file a damage claim with the carrier.

 

Once you have accepted delivery and signed for the shipment, you are liable for any damage to the part(s). Please be sure that your shipment has arrived in good condition prior accepting delivery and signing. If your shipment is being shipment to another facility, please be sure that whoever is accepting and signing knows this information and either inspects the package themselves, or contact you before signing any paperwork.

 

Lift Gate Note
In the even that you should require a lift gate, the customer is responsible for any charges required for this service. There charges can start at $90 USD and will be billed via mail directly to the customer.

 

Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of your personal information that we collect while you are on our site and use our services. This policy also covers the treatment of any personal information that our business partners share with us or that we collect through partner sites. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to anyone not employed by us.

 

Information Collection and Use
We collect personal information when you register for an account, use our contact forms, and when you request our newsletter. When you create an account we ask your name and email address. Once your account is created and you sign in, you are no longer anonymous to us.
